Mid-week Lenten meetings will be held on Wednesday evenings during Lent, beginning March 9 through April 6, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., in Fellowship Hall. We will be considering selections from the book The Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis, led by Roger Spence. This early Renaissance work is one of the great devotional books in the history of the Christian Church, and will help us focus on the themes of the Lenten season. Copies of the book will be available for those who may wish to read the entire work, but reading the book is not necessary for taking part in these devotional meetings. Short selections will be provided on handouts for study and discussion. Light refreshments will be served. All are invited to join us for a stimulating re-focus on our relationship with Jesus Christ and consideration of the Christian life in today’s world.
