Oreland Community Outreach
In an effort to reach out during this pandemic a group of volunteers from OEPC started Oreland Community Outreach, an outreach to young families with schedules bouncing back and forth between in-person and virtual learning for the kids.
Upcoming food drop off:
Tuesday, March 9.
Folks who participated in our last outreach have shared a few details of their experience. Read more below.
“We were privileged to participate in OEPC's food distribution project. The welcome of one neighbor, to come outside to speak with us and to allow us to pray with him, despite the bitter cold, made us recognize the influence of the Holy Spirit in our project, touching people with the love of God.”
“I was impressed that our Friday team consisted of three generations of helpers. This is something that the whole family can do together.”
“I keep thinking (and praying) about a man. We asked him if we could pray with him, at first he said no and then he warmed to the idea and said okay."
If you would like to learn more or volunteer to deliver or make meals for families in our community please reach out to Barb Metz at barbmetz@gmail.com.
