FOOD CUPBOARD
Ongoing (1st Sunday of each month)
The Discipleship Ministry Team collects food items on the first Sunday of each month for the Glenside New Life Presbyterian Church food cupboard. Please put your donations on the table in the Paper Mill Rd Narthex. Canned meats (tuna, ham, chicken, etc.), baby food/formula, peanut butter, canned fruit and boxed goods (crackers, pasta, cereal, rice, etc.) are especially appreciated. Also appreciated are paper grocery bags.
OEPC is also gathering servants to prepare and serve the meal provided on Tuesday nights at the Glenside New Life church. OEPC plans to provide one meal per month. Most of the meal preparation will be done in your home. We need 6 people to prepare a main dish (recipe will be provided), 4 people to provide salads and 10 people to warm and serve the food. The time commitment for servers is approximately 5:45PM-7:30PM (set-up and clean-up time included). If you would like to serve through this ministry but cannot get to the church at serving time, you can prepare the main dish and deliver it to the church on Sunday (label it for the Glenside New Life Church meal and put it in the refrigerator in the kitchen next to the fellowship hall). Please contact Janice Kulp if you are interested in taking part in this ministry.
