MUSIC MINISTRY

The Music Programs offer opportunity for training and participation in worshipping our Lord in song. New members are always welcome! Click on each Music Ministry in the table below for details. Beth Jenkins, Director of Music, is the primary contact for all music ministries.

Music Ministry


The Worship Choir sings for the worship services and special services from September through June, singing a variety of traditional and contemporary anthems. Regular rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 7:30 to 9:15 PM. Additional rehearsals are held on Sundays, October-December to prepare for Advent and Christmas. Any and all high school and college students are invited to join. A weekly Bible Study class for all members is held during the Sunday School hour between services.

The Handbell Choir generally plays for one Sunday service each month, as well as for special services. Comprised of both adult and youth members, they rehearse Thursday evenings at 6:30, September-June.

The Hand Chime choir generally plays 4-5 Sundays during the year (both worship services) and is open to all students entering 3rd grade and up. They rehearse on Friday afternoons 4:30-5:30PM.

The Children's choir is directed by Linda Craymer and is open to children, grades 1-5. The Children's choir generally sings for Easter Sunday (both worship services) and rehearse as part of the Children's Church time during the 8:30AM Sunday worship service for 6-8 weeks prior to Easter Sunday.

The Worship Band is directed by Beth Jenkins and is open to all musicians. If you are proficient with an instrument (guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, etc.) and are interested in playing for church services, please contact Beth.

OEPC is blessed to have several musicians who are not church members but are happy to share their musical talents during worship services throughout the year. Guest musicians also include church members who share their musical talents on an occasional basis throughout the year.
